An afternoon with Sylvester McCoy

When we discovered that Sylvester McCoy was appearing in the pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’ at the Derby Assembly Rooms over Christmas 2008, we were determined to get him to a Whoovers meeting. Having been invited to participate in the panto launch, we met with the great man and set our younger members to persuade him to accept our invitation. How could he refuse?

On Tuesday 2nd December at around 9.50a.m. Sylvester rang Steve Hatcher to confirm that he would be available on the following Saturday. We had four days to organise the event. The well-oiled Whoovers machine went into action. A splendid afternoon with a charming guest - and this DVD - are the results.
