An evening with Cheryl Hall

Cheryl Hall is best known to Doctor Who fans for her role as Shirna in the well-loved 1973 Robert Holmes story Carnival Of Monsters. This has been a small part of long and illustrious career in TV drama and comedy. Perhaps her most famous role was as Shirley, Woolfie’s long-suffering girlfriend in Citizen Smith, in which she starred with her then husband Robert Lindsay.

In 2008, Steve Hatcher started a new job and discovered that amongst his new colleagues was none other than Cheryl. He invited her to spend an evening with the Whoovers. The result was Cheryl’s first convention appearance – a packed evening of wide ranging, informative and often hilarious conversation. We enjoyed it hugely – we hope you do too!
